MOBILITY MANAGEMENT PROGRAM

Mobility Management Travel Training Program

 

BSOOB Transit provides our transit area with two types of travel training, these areas focus on helping our passengers fully gain the confidence to use public transportation.

One-on-One Training

This is geared to those who need individual attention. We provide one-on-one instruction to their specific destinations addressing their specific needs. This is our most customizable option and is usually conducted in the public transit environment-on the street, at transit stops, in our vehicles and at the actual times the passenger will need to travel. We can also provide on site instruction on how to enter and exit the bus or use ADA accessible ramps and lifts. This is especially beneficial to our ADA, visually and hearing-impaired passengers.

Classroom and Group Training

This training offers a less intensive approach by providing information about our routes, including help with the brochures and maps. BSOOB Transit provides various public trainings on a monthly basis at the Saco Transportation Center and will travel to your organization and business as well. In some cases, we can provide travel training on one of our routes as a part of this session or set up another date and time.

Other areas of assistance include helping customers with transport for medical and other appointments and for shopping trips.
