About Zoom Express

Launched in 1998, ZOOM Express is designed as a commuter run between Biddeford and Saco Park & Rides (Exit 32 and Exit 36) and Portland’s downtown, Congress Street and University of Southern Maine. Originally developed to carry employees into the Portland area, the growth of the Biddeford+Saco region now has riders travelling in both directions. ZOOM Express features two large comfortable coach buses equipped with free wifi for your riding pleasure. We are proud to collaborate with the Maine Turnpike Authority and the Maine Department of Transportation in providing this service to you.

ZOOM gets you to work without the hassles. Relax in ZOOM’s comfortable seats, read a book, enjoy your electronic device or grab a nap on the way to work-and let ZOOM’s professional drivers get you there safely and efficiently. You don’t have to worry about traffic or driving in bad weather either. Speaking of work, get more done when commuting to and from work by using free wifi service.

ZOOM saves you $$$. Ridership cost is $5 per ride but no more than $150 per month. With the new fare system, all rides after 30 are free for the rest of the month. That is less than you pay now for gas and tolls. Add in the rising cost of parking and it is a deal that you simply can’t pass up.

ZOOM is convenient. With runs designed for peak commute hours, ZOOM will get you to work on time. ZOOM morning runs begin at 6:00 am and run until 8:13 am. Afternoon runs begin at 4:09 pm and end at 8:30 pm. we have added dedicated ZOOM Express runs from the Saco Transportation Center adding increased capacity and convenience.

ZOOM is improving. Biddeford Saco Old Orchard Beach Transit received funding and took delivery of two new coach buses that will make your riding experience even better. Modernized electronic fare box technology will speed up your boarding time and mesh seamlessly with Portland METRO and South Portland Bus Services. We have introduced “Fare Capping” which is a reward program for frequent riders. Once you meet a set number of rides in a given period, the rest of your rides are FREE.
