About BSOOB Transit
BSOOB Transit provides public transportation services throughout the Biddeford, Saco, Old Orchard Beach region and surrounding communities. Our goal is to provide safe, reliable, accessible, and convenient transportation that connects residents and visitors with employment, education, healthcare, shopping, recreation, and other important destinations.
We offer several types of public transportation services designed to meet different travel needs throughout our service area.
Our bus service is available to everyone. In addition to picking up and dropping off passengers at regular bus stops, riders may request that a bus travel up to ¾ of a mile off its regular route for a pickup or drop-off. This service is available to all riders and can be especially helpful for individuals who have difficulty getting to or from a regular bus stop. Advance notice is required. More information is provided below under Off-Route Pickup & Drop-Off Service (Route Deviation).
Fixed Route Bus Service
BSOOB Transit operates regularly scheduled bus routes with designated stops and published schedules. Fixed route service connects communities and key destinations throughout our service area and allows riders to travel without making an advance reservation.
Riders can view individual route maps, schedules, service alerts, and fare information on our website.
QuickRide On-Demand Service
QuickRide is BSOOB Transit’s on-demand microtransit service. Rather than following a traditional fixed route and timetable, QuickRide allows riders to request a trip within designated service areas.
Trips can be requested using the available QuickRide booking options, and riders are matched with a vehicle based on their pickup and destination locations.
QuickRide is intended to provide flexible transportation options and improve connections to locations that may not be directly served by a traditional fixed route.
Off-Route Pickup & Drop-Off Service (Route Deviation)
BSOOB Transit offers an off-route pickup and drop-off service, also known as route deviation.
Instead of requiring every rider to travel to a regular bus stop, you can ask the bus to leave its regular route and pick you up or drop you off at a location that is up to ¾ of a mile from the route.
Anyone may request this service. There is no special application or eligibility requirement.
To request an off-route pickup or drop-off, contact BSOOB Transit:
Phone: 207-282-5408
Email: info@BSOOBTransit.org
Advance notice requirements:
- Weekdays: Requests must be made at least 2 hours in advance.
- Weekends: Requests must be made by 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
- Fare: The regular fare is doubled for an off-route pickup or drop-off.
If you are unsure whether your pickup or destination is within ¾ of a mile of one of our routes, please contact us. BSOOB Transit staff can help determine whether the trip can be accommodated and assist you with scheduling your ride.
Seasonal Transportation Services
BSOOB Transit also provides seasonal transportation services during certain times of the year. These services are designed to accommodate increased travel demand and provide convenient transportation to popular destinations within our region.
Schedules and service availability may vary by season.
Accessible Transportation
BSOOB Transit is committed to providing accessible public transportation. Our services are operated in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and accessible vehicles are available throughout our system.
Reasonable modifications to policies, practices, or procedures may be requested when necessary to allow an individual with a disability to use BSOOB Transit services.
Information about ADA services, reasonable modification requests, and the ADA complaint process is available on our ADA & Accessibility page.
